Pangea's Mangrove Clean Up 2023
THE REASON BEHIND THE PROJECT
Mangroves are trees that grow on water, with their roots rising out to breathe oxygen. Mangrove capture 4 times more C02 than rainforests, so they're a key agent in the fight against climate change. But 30% of mangroves population has been destroyed, and the plastic pollution is strangling their roots and choking them to death.
Las Piñas-Parañaque Wetland Park is home to 30 hectares of some of the last Mangroves in Manila. But plastic is threatening them.
THE CALL TO ACTION!
Together we can change this and save the Mangroves before it's too late.
HOW?
Organize a massive clean up at the Las Piñas-Parañaque Wetland Park on February 19, 2023, and gather 1,000 volunteers..
FROM TRASH, TO TREASURE
We will sort all the trash collected, and recycle the Polypropylene into amazing Pangea's Mangove Sunglasses that will sell to fund future clean ups.
